This might be shocking to learn but I was never very good at science, in fact it was probably my worst subject in school. So to speak with a scientist in the field of womens health was indeed an education.
Dr Hayley Dickinson has a PHD in reproductive physiology, pregnancy and perinatal health and has worked alongside Melanie Gleeson, the founder and CEO of endota Organics, to create their new, certified organic, mother & baby range, Nurture.
In this interview we explore the impact of stress on mother and baby before and after the birth and look at knowledge versus nature when it comes to childbirth. Dr Hayley shares her personal journey that left her disillusioned with the world of science and how this took her on a path of self care creating something that she believes needs to be in the hands of every woman who is currently pregnant or about to become pregnant, Nurture.
A SPECIAL INTERVIEW IN CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY
I could listen to Teresa talk all day. She seems to throw out pearls of life wisdom without even knowing it (something I learned, once I actually shut up and listened). Today's interview is a celebration of what women can and do achieve. In my mind there isn't a better person to talk to, or story to share, than that of Aussie actress Teresa Palmer (I really hate giving her this title as she is so many things; something we talk about). As much as we love watching TP on the big screen, (she shares a near death experience while on the set of her highly anticipated new film, Ride like A Girl, a true story about the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup) it’s her completely raw and honest dialogue on parenting that has us glued in to her life on the daily thanks to Instagram. This interview is sort of an audio version of @teresapalmer meets @yourzenmama where we talk the highs and lows of real life, and what it means to be a woman in this moment of history where equality and community are crucial in reaching that common goal of a more gender balanced world. A better world.

Destination - Venice Beach
One of my favourite cities on earth is LA. On our recent trip we hijacked a good friends home in Venice Beach for a month (bless you Kate). As is the way there were some stand out additions to the local scene since my last rodeo in the US of A. I am fortunate that my local buddies are always sharing the best places to shop, eat and where to some good old fashion maintenance. The good stuff that really needs to be found by word of mouth rather than google. So I’m passing on my hard earned research so the next time you jet in you can get your Venice on without breaking a “where to” sweat.
A story of survival, Talar shares her personal journey from normal teenager studying her dreams at university in her beloved city of Aleppo to the unthinkable, becoming a refugee fleeing for her life.
